Our practice incorporates real business experience with legal knowledge and expertise through its principal, Peter Anthony Johnson. Our clients benefit from this dual perspective approach by gaining a range of advantages, from strategic legal positioning in negotiations to drafting creative, but enforceable contractual provisions.
We truly identify with the entrepreneur, as most of Mr. Johnson’s business experience is the result of new venture development. Past business endeavors include the creation of a number of enterprises, including an international marine manufacturing, marketing and distribution corporation, which he founded and operated as President during the mid-90s. Following that project, he was the principal in the redevelopment plan of an art deco hotel in Miami Beach, Florida.
Mr. Johnson advised clients in the capacity of a new venture consultant prior to realizing his legal passion, having authored a number of business plans which generated capital and resulted in successful enterprises.

Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, B.S., Business Management;
DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois, Marketing; and,
The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois, J.D., Business Law and Real Estate Law, having also studied Tax Law, and earned credit toward an L.L.M. in Real Estate Law (Masters in Real Estate Law).
Charitable Activity
Mr. Johnson maintains a position on the Board of Directors for the Hearts Foundation, an Illinois not for profit fundraising organization, which cause has raised over $2,000,000.00 for its Chicago area AIDS related charity beneficiaries.
Mario A. Sullivan
Associate
Mario A. Sullivan is an associate at the Law Offices of Peter Anthony Johnson, P.C. He counsels clients on a wide range of issues relating to real estate, landlord/tenant, creditor bankruptcy, employment, contract law, business formation, and estate planning. Mr. Sullivan is a member of the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), the Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association (ABA). In addition, he is a member of the National LGBT Bar Association (LGBT Bar), Lesbian and Gay Law Association of Chicago (LAGBAC), and the American Constitution Society (ACS).
Mr. Sullivan serves as Diversity Director for the ABA Young Lawyers Division (YLD); Vice-president, Board Member, and Chair of the Program Committee for the LAGBAC; and Board Member to the LGBT Bar.
Mr. Sullivan has previously served on the Planning Committee- Fundraising for Equality Illinois 2005 Gala; Committee member to the ABA YLD Diversity Team and Resolutions Team; National Representative for the LGBT Bar to the ABA YLD; Chair of the local host committee for the LGBT Bar’s Lavender Law – 2007; Chair and vice-Chair of the CBA Committee on the Legal Rights of Lesbians and Gay Men; and Board Member of the ACS Chicago Lawyer Chapter.
Mr. Sullivan graduated from the Illinois State University in 2000 and obtained his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 2005.

Akilah S. Brown
Legal Assistant
Akilah joined our firm in September, 2006. She assists with many types of matters, including real estate, landlord-tenant issues, and corporation/LLC formation. Akilah is also a high school cheerleading coach.
William Anderson Jensen
Paralegal
Will joined our firm in 2007. He assists with real estate transactions, legal research, maintaining the firm's computer network, and landlord-tenant issues.
